STUDENT PROFILE
Kimia Peykarzadeh is a first year DMA student in music education. She earned a M.M in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at University of Colorado Boulder and B.M in Piano Performance at University of Tehran, Iran. Her research interests include piano pedagogy, group piano class, musician’s wellness, and special learners.
Kimia chose Eastman “because of the diverse professional and artistic opportunities it offers to students. The school fosters an environment where aspiring musicians can grow both academically and creatively. Additionally, the faculty members are not only highly skilled and knowledgeable but also incredibly supportive, providing mentorship and guidance that enriches both personal and professional development.” A fun fact about Kimia: “I have a passion for hiking and discovering the beauty of natural landscapes, including national parks.”
